UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2024 Postponed
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has changed the date of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) to 2024. Earlier this exam was to be held on 26 May 2024, now it will be conducted on 16 June after the Lok Sabha elections.
Let us tell you that elections for the 18th Lok Sabha will be held in the country from April to June 2024. In such a situation, a decision has been taken to postpone this exam.
Notification for so many posts was issued
It is worth noting that this year UPSC has issued a notification of 1506 vacancies for the Civil Services Examination and 150 vacancies for the Indian Foreign Officers Service. Let us tell you that UPSC conducts examinations in three stages. These include prelims, mains, and personality tests.
When was the notification issued?
Union Public Service Commission released the notification for the prelims examination of the Civil Services Exam on 14 February. In the notice, the Commission had given the date of exam as 26th May. Which has now been changed by UPSC in view of the elections. Now this examination will be conducted on 16 June 2024. Candidates will be given information regarding admit cards and other rules and regulations of the exam in time.
